Dragons Power

Things don't always go according to ones plans in life and there willl always be struggles and suffering.  As long as we are able to pull out our inner strength in those times.  Be as mighty as a dragon and keep fighting.  I've had several struggles in my life lately and I'm not letting a one of them keep me down and I'm going to keep fighting and keep flying.  I've embraced the power of dragons in my artworks for a reason.  I admire their great strength and courage.  They make a wonderful study and a wonderful subject to create and draw as they are as endless as ones imagination.

Behind the Artworks...

Behind the artworks my inspirations come from real life.  These photos might look familiar?  Not only do i do painting and drawing and sketching I also love taking photos.  I'm currently in need of a new camera but for now i make do with my cell phones camera.  I have tons and tons of pictures ive taken over the years... When i am caught in the moment i snap a photo and get a general concept for the artworks in my head.  My art comes from years of watching animals and trying to draw them and perfect drawing them with my own twist.  Needless to say watching cartoons as a kid had some influence on my ability to draw cartoons as well.  You name it i can draw it.. even people.

Rough Road

This addition to my series is brought about by a lot of stress and dissapointments and current challenges in my life right now.  All that goes with a long distance relationship and dealing with my mothers care with two forms of dimentia and trying to get her into therapies and get everything set for her new board and care home.  My financial woes have gotten to me lately as well even with a job its sometimes hard to make ends meet.  I put all my pain and torment into this pen drawing.  Heres to hoping things will go right soon :(

EYE EYE EYE

This artwork was an expiriment in gimp 2 programming.  Its basic idea was if a dragon trusts u it will hold still long enough for u to look into its eyes.  This powerful beast becomes as tame as a housecat when you gain his trust.  Had a little trouble with sharpening the image but im happy with the results. :)

Creative Thinking

Sitting out with a sketchbook open and sketching down what i see is fun.  I love being able to pull ideas from my creative mind as well.  I want to showcase my artworks and share what goes into each one and what inspires me to do them.  I have a fascination with dragons currently and I wanted to show a gentler side to the dragon in this piece.  The young dragons flying around the mother dragon.  This drawing was done for Mother's Day.
